An important date beckons for Warnham, so please mark it on your calendar and tell all your family, friends and neighbours to do the same. On 11th June 2011, the first annual Warnham Village fete is being held. This will be no ordinary day for Warnham - starting at the Village Hall at approximately 10.45am, a procession headed by the Horsham Black Magic Morris Men, will make its way through the bunting festooned village, down Church Street, in to School Hill and on to the Village Green to hail the opening of the 2011 Warnham Fete. The day will provide entertainment, refreshments, fun and the opportunity to meet friends old and new and will cater for people of all ages.
Included in the programme of activities is a fun Dog Show staged in its own Animal Arena with classes from waggiest tail to best in show. Tug of war teams will be battling it out for the strongest team trophy, scores are to be settled in the wet stocks, tea and cake to be consumed with the harmonious delights of the flute choir playing in the background, burgers and hot dogs to be decided upon at the BBQ or to be decadent and go for the hog roast. A plethera of beverages are being offered from juices to beer, ale, wine and Pimms, prizes to be won in the various raffles and competitions and a variety of displays to be enjoyed in the Main Arena PLUS a crazy kids corner, over 40 stalls and many other activities. What more could there be, but wait ..... Wrapping up the Fete around 4pm will be show in the Main Arena by the South Downs Gundog Display team. WOW how can you possibly miss this - we're planning to make it a day people talk about for years ........ you won't want to miss it!
